This week we have opened a new new entrant room with 6 gorgeous 5 years olds.   They are all settling into new routines and enjoying being at Botany Downs Primary. We welcome Melissa Parkins to the Junior Team. Melissa is a local resident and has been a nanny for several years so has lots of experience with littlies. She enjoys reading and horse riding.

Special Mother's Day Assembly

Today we held a special Mother's Day assembly to celebrate our special Mum's, Aunt's Nana's and Grandma's in our lives. Our Mum's joined us this morning for a hot drink and a scone.
Last week the Year 6's were at camp so we waited until this week.
Our Mum's are the BEST in the whole wide world because they work so hard and they love us so much.
Thank you Mum's!

Learning about being a scientist with Dr Shanon

A scientist is a person who does experiements to find out why and what happens.

This experiment shows water and food colouring is heavier than oil.

Dr Shannon is mixing cornflour and dishwashing liquid to make ooblek,

Ooblek is like slime.  When pushed hard it is hard.  Push slowly and your finger goes through.

We liked learning about what scientists do.  We also liked seeing the experiments.
